Connecting for Speeds Over 200 km/h
The Cortanovci Tunnel consists of two parallel single-track bores totaling 2,242 m (right: 1,086 m, left: 1,156 m). Tunnel excavation was completed in 2020, and the entire Stara Pazova–Novi Sad section, including viaducts, was finalized by the end of 2021. The upgraded railway is designed for speeds of up to 200 km/h, part of the modern Belgrade–Budapest corridor.
